Rick Bevins came to Speidel in 1986 with a construction and building background involving residential, light commercial and multi-family projects.  Rick has spent years developing drying techniques for various building materials, with a special emphasis on concrete moisture problems.  He is considered an industry expert on Moisture Testing, Drying and Evaluation of Concrete and Hardwoods. 

 

Rick has also been active in (ASCR) The Association of Specialists in Cleaning & Restoration, now (RIA) Restoration Industry Association for the last 20 years and was a founding member of the National Water Loss Institute.  He has Industry Certifications regarding the mitigation and cleanup of property loss damages.  He is also an Insurance Expert Witness on Restoration Claims.  Rick holds a United States Utility Patent with regards to a Dehumidification system he invented and he is a featured speaker on a recurring basis for local insurance organizations on proper remediation and cleanup techniques of water  damage, mold damage, sewage  damage, and general hygiene cleaning.

 

Rick has spent the last 11 years working with Mycologists, Toxicologists,, Microbiologists, Building Engineers, and other related specialists in developing a proper working protocol for Mold Removal and permanent Mold Remediation in private and public buildings.  He has attended many IAQ conferences and symposiums around the country interacting with many experts associated with this issue and RESTORx has been the leading restoration contractor on a number of high profile Mold Removal jobs in Washington State.

Since 1986 Speidel Drying Systems has concentrated on accelerated drying procedures to speed up completion of new commercial construction projects.  This includes High Rise, Light Commercial, Multi-Family & Large Residential projects.  Projects have included accelerated drying of block walls in prisons, accelerated drying of gyp-crete, and accelerated drying of concrete slabs on grade.  An ongoing customer list includes most of the top 20 Commercial Construction Contractors in Western Washington.  RESTORx of Washington was started in 1992 as a division of Speidel International, concentrating primarily on Fire & Water Restoration in the Insurance Industry.  RESTORx added Mold Cleanup Services in 1995 to meet a growing demand for this service.  At any given time, RESTORx is working on multiple Mold Cleanup jobs as  either a contractor or in a consultant role.  RESTORx’s customer list includes most major Insurance Carriers, Various School Districts,  Property Management Companies, and General Contractors involved in Fire and Water Damage Restoration.
