First, disconnect all equipment including any battery backups.
Then control the humidity. If all equipment cannot be cleaned at once, it is important to stop the corrosion process. The most important step is to control the humidity! Corrosion can be slowed down if the relative humidity is below 50%.
Open cabinet doors, remove side panels and covers and pull out chassis drawers to allow water to run out of the equipment.
Remove standing water. Absorbant cotton pads can be used to blot up water. Use caution not to damage equipment.

Yes. Water gets into walls and floor cavities, sub flooring and carpet backing. The water you don't see now will cause rot, mold, mildew, fungus and bacteria later. Unless you have moisture testing devices and sophisticated drying equipment, it will cost you more money to wait.
